Job Summary
The Solaris quality engineering group is looking for an intern of Solaris Security test development. In this position, you will be responsible for Solaris Security related test development like Trusted Extension, IPSec, Kerberosand so on. You should be in charge of test suites creation and execution, in addition to working closely with senior team members in other time zones around the world.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Developing test suites to ensure the quality of the Solaris operating system.
- Assist senior team members on test execution.
- Communicating interactively and effectively with English-speaking team members in different time zones.
Requirements:
- BSCS/EE
- Knowledge of software testing methodology, test plan and test assertion development.
- Development experience with Unix/Linux.
- Familiar with C and script programming under UNIX/Linux.
- Basic knowledge on Unix kernel concepts and OS level security.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Fluent in English communication.
- To be able to work on site at least 4 days per week

Job Summary
Intern position, 6 months, at least 3 days a week, full time preferred.
The Sun JDS QE team are responsible for the quality of Java Desktop System on Solaris. We are looking for enthusiastic and talented student with strong sense of responsibilities and good problem solving skills.

This position will will executes various programs to assurance the quality of the Sun Desktop products. He/She will:
- execution test suites execution for Sun Desktop products.
- write complete and accurate bug report
- write formal test reports
- test cases developing.
- set up testing environment
- verify and track bugs
- communicate with the development team
Technical skills required:
- familiar with Unix/Linux system, Solaris preferred.
- skills on script language Perl, Unix Shell, Python
- proficient in both conversational and written English
- able to work on multiple projects in parallel
Additional requirements:
- has strong interest in Sun products such as Solaris, Java and Java Desktop System
- knowledge and experience with open source community and projects
- good communication skills and ability to work independently
- familiar with software development and test processes
- MS student in Computer Engineering/Science preferred

Intern – Sofware Engineer
Job Summary
Act as the technical resource to effectively and efficiently deliver quality localized versions of Suns core software products such as Suns Linux version of Java Desktop Systems, Java Enterprise Systems, Developers Studio Tools and Java (i.e. J2EE, J2SE, J2ME, etc.) for the Asian languages including simplified and traditional Chinese, Korea, Thai, etc.
Collaborate and work with Suns geographically distributed teams around the world especially the ones in the US, Europe and Asian countries on both internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) development tasks by conducting the analysis, development, tests, bug fixing and technical document reviews.
